Brakes

The condition of your brakes effects their responsiveness and the stopping distance of your vehicle.

What's Involved?

Brake warning light:

This light comes on when your brake pads are worn.

Spongy brake pedal:

This could indicate a brake fluid leak, air in the brake lines, or a problem with the master cylinder.

Grinding or squealing:

This could mean that your brake pads are worn down and the metal backing is rubbing on the disc.

Vibrations:

This could mean that your brake pads have warped or your brake discs are damaged.

Leaking fluid:

Brake fluid lubricates the discs and amplifies braking force, so a leak will directly reduce the efficacy of your brakes.
