DPF Machine Clean
Do we clean DPFs in situ?
"No. We do it properly."
When your DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) becomes blocked, you might assume it needs replacing, as is the case for most filters on your car. However, the cost of a new DPF can easily be in excess of £1000. Fortunately, DPF's are made of sturdy materials that can withstand intensive machine cleaning to restore it to its original condition.

At our garages, we don't offer to 'flush' your DPF in situ. This is a cheap alternative DPF cleaning service you might see offered by some small garages or mobile mechanics. All they do is pour some chemicals into the system and hope for the best. Their 'DPF flush' might be cheap and temporarily effective but since it only removes soot from the DPF and not ash build-up, the issue will recur within a matter of weeks.
When I asked one of our technicians if we could do a DPF 'flush', he simply replied,
"No. We do it properly."
Our DPF Machine Clean service involves removing the DPF from your vehicle and placing it into our Carbon Clean machine, which thoroughly pressure washes the component with special detergents. The vast majority of DPFs come out looking and working as good as new.
